Davis Islands

Davis Islands

Developed by D. P. Davis during the peak of the Florida Building Boom in the 1920s, Davis
Islands is comprised of two man-made islands. Davis’s goal was to create a Mediterranean-
style resort community. Many of the original buildings are still standing and have received
historical recognition. New construction and recent renovation projects complement the historic
buildings of Davis Islands.

Davis Islands Living

A completely pedestrian friendly island, the Davis Islands linear park is a 1.3-mile trail that
connects Channel Drive and Davis Boulevard to the parking area at the Peter O. Knight Airport.
East Davis Boulevard offers restaurants and cafes with outdoor sidewalk seating. The island is
also very pet-friendly with all the outdoor restaurants and public green space. A bridge
connects the island to the mainland making downtown easily accessible.

Davis Islands Real Estate

Between revitalization projects on historic buildings to the new construction happening on every
street, Davis Island offers a dynamic real estate market. There are quieter neighborhoods that
offer privacy as well as homes closer to the entertainment of East Davis Boulevard.
