West Bradenton is best known as the home of the IMG Academy. IMG Academy opened as the first tennis boarding school nearly 40 years ago. Since then it has developed into the premier K-12 athletic development school.
The Village of the Arts is a working artist colony. The colony spans several blocks from 9th Ave West to 17th Ave West between 9th St West and 14th St West. Artists can live, work, and play in the mix of bungalows and Florida Cracker homes. Non-residents can experience the village anytime and especially during monthly art walks.
